Last week, Slipknot fans received the news that the band would be forced to postpone the first dozen dates of their co-headlining tour with Marilyn Manson. With frontman Corey Taylor on the mend following “unplanned spinal surgery,” the affected dates have been rescheduled.
Originally slated to begin June 9 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and end in Slipknot’s hometown of Des Moines, Iowa, on Aug. 5, the tour will now run from June 28 through Aug. 27. Of the 12 stops, only the Denver, Colo. and Las Vegas dates have been forced to change the venue. Fans who had previously purchased tickets will be able to retain theirs for the new dates, except for those in Denver and Las Vegas. Ticketholders for these two cities will have to have their tickets refunded at the original point of purchase and can repurchase tickets for the new dates. However, previous ticketholders will be awarded an early buying opportunity.
